Republic Act No. 8785, enacted on April 27, 2000, converts Cudal High School in Tabuk, Kalinga, into Cudal National High School. The new national high school will provide secondary education, including science courses as authorized by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. All existing personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from Cudal High School will be transferred to the newly established institution. Funding necessary for this conversion will be included in the General Appropriations Act following the law's enactment. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on September 4, 2000.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8785

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CUDAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TABUK, PROVINCE OF KALINGA INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CUDAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Cudal High School in the Municipality of Tabuk, Province of Kalinga is converted into a national high school to be known as the Cudal National High School.

SECTION 2. The school shall offer secondary education proper, as well as secondary science courses to carry out its objectives and as may be authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.

SECTION 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 4. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Cudal High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Cudal National High School.

SECTION 5. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
