Republic Act No. 8924, enacted on August 22, 2000, converts the Mainit-Reinermann High School in Barangay Mainit, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province, into a national high school named Mainit National High School. The school will operate under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). Funding for this conversion will be included in the General Appropriations Act following its enactment. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on March 19, 2001.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8924
AN ACT CONVERTING MAINIT-REINERMANN HIGH SCHOOL OF BARANGAY MAINIT, MUNICIPALITY OF NABUNTURAN, COMPOSTELA VALLEY PROVINCE INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS MAINIT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND PROVIDING APPROPRIATE FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Mainit-Reinermann High School of Barangay Mainit, Municipality of Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province shall be converted into a national high school to be known as Mainit National High School under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).
SECTION 2. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. IcaEDC
