ACT NO. 2369
AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF ASSESSORS IN CRIMINAL CASES IN THE COURTS OF FIRST INSTANCE IN THE PROVINCES ORGANIZED UNDER THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ACT AND IN THE PROVINCES OF MINDORO, PALAWAN, AND BATANES
SECTION 1. During the trial of criminal cases in Courts of First Instance in the provinces organized under the Provincial Government Act, and the Province of Mindoro, Palawan, and Batanes, assessors may be appointed to assist in such trial, as provided in the Code of Civil Procedure. HEITAD
SECTION 2. Such assessors shall be appointed from the list prepared in accordance with section one hundred and fifty-three of Act Numbered One hundred and ninety, and the procedure as regards appointment, summons, compensation, oath of office, and duties to be performed by the assessors shall be determined by sections one hundred and fifty-four to one hundred and sixty-one of the said Act Numbered One hundred and ninety.
SECTION 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the same shall take effect on its passage, in accordance with section one of Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and forty-five of the Philippine Legislature.
