ACT NO. 250
AN ACT AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF THE COLLECTOR OF CUSTOMS OF THE ISLANDS AND OF THE CHIEF PORT
SECTION 1. For the purpose of enabling the Collector of Customs of the Islands and of the chief port to maintain his full working force, and at the same time to grant the leaves of absence authorized by law, the Collector of Customs of the Islands and of the chief port is hereby authorized to employ in the work of his office the following additional employees: cSEDTC
One clerk, class eight; one clerk, class nine; one clerk, class ten; three clerks, Class A; one clerk, Class F; four clerks. Class I; four clerks, Class J; two employees, Class K, at an annual compensation of one hundred and eighty dollars each; three employees, Class K, at an annual compensation of one hundred and twenty dollars each; one employee, Class K, at an annual compensation of ninety dollars; all in money of the United States.
SECTION 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
ENACTED, October 2, 1901.
