ACT NO. 731
AN ACT APPROPRIATING ONE MILLION DOLLARS IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF SILVER, COPPER, AND OTHER METALS OR ALLOYS NEEDED IN THE COINAGE OF SUBSIDIARY COINS FOR USE IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one million dollars, in money of the United States, for the purchase of silver, copper, and other metals or alloys needed to coin the subsidiary coinage provided by law for the Philippine Islands.
SECTION 2. The sum of money by this Act appropriated shall be deposited with the depository of the Philippine Government in the city of New York to the credit of the disbursing agent of the Philippine Government in Washington, to be by him disbursed for the purpose stated in this Act.
SECTION 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
