ACT NO. 71
AN ACT APPROPRIATING FIVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND FIFTEEN CENTS IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE SALARIES AND EXPENSES OF THE PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD AND OFFICE FORCE FOR THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED, TO AND INCLUDING MARCH THIRTY-FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND ONE
SECTION 1. The sum of five thousand six hundred and twenty-eight dollars and fifteen cents, in money of the United States, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying the salaries and traveling expenses of the Philippine Civil Service Board and office force, for the purchase of books for use in preparing civil service examination papers, and for a contingent fund for the Board, for the period from December first, nineteen hundred, to and including March thirty-first, nineteen hundred and one.
SECTION 2. The Disbursing Officer of the United States Philippine Commission shall act as disbursing officer for the Philippine Civil Service Board.
SECTION 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited, in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
