An Act Appropriating Eighty Thousand Pesos to Compensate the Mountain Province for the Loss in its Revenue on Account of the Abolition of the Road Tax

COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 354
AN ACT APPROPRIATING EIGHTY THOUSAND PESOS TO COMPENSATE THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE FOR THE LOSS IN ITS REVENUE ON ACCOUNT OF THE ABOLITION OF THE ROAD TAX
SECTION 1. In order to compensate the Mountain Province for the loss in revenue which it may suffer on account of the abolition of the road tax, there is appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of eighty thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be released by the Secretary of Finance, upon the approval of the President: Provided, That the amount so released to carry out the purpose of this Act shall not exceed the average of the proceeds of the road tax collected in the Mountain Province during the years nineteen hundred and thirty-six and nineteen hundred and thirty-seven. SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
