ACT NO. 169
AN ACT ANNEXING THE ISLAND OF CATANDUANES TO THE PROVINCE OF ALBAY
SECTION 1. The Island of Catanduanes is hereby annexed to and included in the Province of Albay, already organized by Act Numbered One hundred and twenty-two, passed April twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and one.
SECTION 2. The inhabitants of the territory hereby annexed and made part of the province of Albay shall enjoy the same privileges and rights in the Government as if the island had been originally incorporated in the province; and the municipal officers of the towns in such territory now organized or to be organized under the Municipal Code shall have the same relations to the provincial officers as are prescribed by the Provincial Government Act and the special Act organizing the Province of Albay for the municipal officers of the towns of the Province of Albay as originally organized.
SECTION 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
