ACT NO. 2323
AN ACT AMENDING SECTION SIX OF ACT NUMBERED TWO THOUSAND AND NINETY-FIVE BY AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO HOLDERS OF FELLOWSHIPS APPOINTED UNDER SAID ACT FOR CERTAIN EXPENSES
SECTION 1. Section six of Act Numbered Two thousand and ninety-five of the Philippine Legislature is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 6. The holders of fellowship under this Act shall each receive, in monthly or quarterly installments one thousand two hundred pesos per annum and their tuition fees; they shall further be entitled to reimbursement of actual and necessary expenses for travel and subsistence to and from their homes in the Philippine Islands and their respective places of study in America or Europe and for such textbooks, stationery, and use of implements, instruments, apparatus, and paraphernalia as may be necessary for them to pursue with profit their respective courses of study. They shall also be entitled to reimbursement of expenses for medical fees, hospital attendance, and nurse hire in all cases in which it may have been necessary to undergo a serious surgical operation, and in all cases in which they have been subject to serious and continued illness."
