An Act Amending Section Five of Act Numbered One Hundred and Thirty-Nine Extending the Provisions of the Provincial Government Act to the Province of Nueva Ecija
Act No. 398, enacted on May 9, 1902, amends Section Five of Act No. 139, which pertains to the provincial government of Nueva Ecija. The amendment maintains San Isidro as the provincial capital but allows for a change if a majority of provincial presidents vote for a new capital during a specific semiannual meeting. This new capital can be established by a date determined by the provincial board, no later than January 1, 1903. The Act emphasizes the urgency of its enactment for the public good and takes effect immediately upon passage.
