ACT NO. 2781
AN ACT AMENDING FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section one thousand six hundred and sixty-one of the Administrative Code is hereby amended, so as to read as follows:
"SEC. 1661. Duties of Attorney-General. — As principal law officer of the Government, the Attorney-General shall have authority to act for and represent the Government of the Philippine Islands, its officers, and agents in any official investigation, proceeding, or matter requiring the services of a lawyer. Upon the request of the President of any of the Houses of the Legislature, the Attorney-General or his authorized representative, shall assist and attend any legislative committee that may be practising any investigation ordered by the Legislature, or by any of the Houses thereof."
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
