An Act Amending Act Numbered Twenty-Two Hundred and Eighty-Seven by Exempting from the Provisions of Said Act those Persons who at the Time of the Passage thereof Held Legal Licenses for the Sale of the Intoxicating Liquors Described therein
Act No. 2301, enacted on December 9, 1913, amends the earlier Act No. 2287, which restricted the sale of intoxicating liquors in specific regions of the Philippines. The amendment exempts individuals who held legal licenses for selling such beverages at the time of the original act's passage, allowing them to continue their sales without facing penalties for the duration of their licenses. This change applies specifically to the Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, and Agusan, ensuring that licensed vendors are not adversely affected by the prohibitions outlined in the earlier legislation. The act took effect immediately upon its passage.
