ACT NO. 319
AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE BY INCREASING THE MAXIMUM PAY OF FIRST-CLASS INSPECTORS AND PROVIDING FOR THE GRADE OF SUBINSPECTOR OF THE PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY
SECTION 1. Section sixteen of Act Numbered One hundred and seventy five is hereby amended by substituting for the words and figures "fourteen hundred dollars ($1,400)" therein the words and figures "sixteen hundred dollars ($1,600)."
SECTION 2. The grade of subinspector is hereby created. The annual salaries of subinspectors shall be four hundred and eighty dollars each, and they shall rank next after and perform the same duties as fourth-class inspectors. The Chief of the Philippine Constabulary is hereby authorized and empowered to appoint forty subinspectors and to assign them for duty to such provinces as in his judgment will best subserve the public interest. The Chief of the Philippine Constabulary is also given the power to suspend and remove subinspectors for cause, and to fill all vacancies among them occurring by reason of such suspension, removal, resignation, death, or disability.
SECTION 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
