ACT NO. 2366
AN ACT ABOLISHING CERTAIN PERMANENT REIMBURSABLE FUNDS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES PERTAINING TO SAID FUNDS
SECTION 1. The permanent reimbursable fund for Constabulary supply stores, created by Act Numbered Two hundred and forty-two, is hereby abolished, and all assets and liabilities pertaining thereto are hereby transferred to the current appropriation for the Bureau of Constabulary. HESIcT
SECTION 2. The coal supply fund, created by section one of Act Numbered Thirteen hundred and sixty-one, is hereby abolished, and all assets and liabilities pertaining to said fund are hereby transferred to the current appropriation for the Bureau of Supply.
SECTION 3. Section twenty-six of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and sixty-one, as amended by section two of Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and ten, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 26. Taxes, fines, and all other moneys collected by virtue of the provisions of this Act, shall be covered into the Insular Treasury to the credit of the general fund of the Insular Government. There is hereby constituted a permanent annual appropriation of such amount as may be necessary to pay rewards to informers under the following conditions:
"Fifteen per centum of all fines imposed by reason of violations of this Act shall be paid to the person who furnished the original evidence properly substantiated, which led to the detection of the offense and the imposition of the fine. The name of the informer shall be specified in the judgment of the court when a conviction is had in a court: Provided, That in all cases in which no fine is imposed but where the sentence is one for imprisonment or deportation, or when compromise is effected as provided in section twenty-five hereof, there shall be paid to the informer an amount approved by the Secretary of Finance and Justice, not exceeding one thousand pesos in any one case."
SECTION 4. The forage supply fund, the cattle quarantine station fund, and the plow fund, as created by section seven of Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and fifty-four, are hereby Abolished, and the current surplus pertaining to each of said funds shall revert to the general unappropriated surplus of the Insular Government. The fixed assets pertaining to said funds shall be transferred to the Bureau of Agriculture without cost. TAIaHE
SECTION 5. The net profits arising from the operations of all reimbursable appropriations or funds which have been continued in force or which may hereafter be created, shall be paid into the general fund of the Insular Government at the close of each fiscal year. ICHDca
SECTION 6. All Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.
SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
