Amendments to R.A. No. 416 (Charter of Philippine Normal College)

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6515

AN ACT FURTHER AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FOUR HUNDRED SIXTEEN, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE CHARTER OF THE PHILIPPINE NORMAL COLLEGE

SECTION 1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Four hundred sixteen, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 1. The present Philippine Normal College, formerly Philippine Normal School, located in Manila, Philippines, is hereby authorized to offer and conduct courses leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Education and other academic degrees relevant to, and appropriate in, the preparation and training of teachers, specialists, researchers, supervisors, administrators, school and education managers and other professional personnel in education."

SECTION 2. Subparagraph (b) of Section five of the same Act is hereby amended to read as follows:

"(b) to confer degrees of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Education, and Doctor of Education as well as other academic degrees relevant to, and appropriate in, the preparation and training of teachers, specialists, supervisors, researchers, administrators, school and education managers and other professional personnel in education."

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. aisa dc
