REPUBLIC ACT NO. 67
AN ACT TO AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS OF COMMONWEALTH ACT NUMBERED FIFTY-EIGHT, KNOWN AS THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CEBU, AS AMENDED BY COMMONWEALTH ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-NINE
SECTION 1. Section ten of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:
"The Secretary to the Mayor shall receive a salary of two thousand four hundred pesos per annum."
SECTION 2. The last sentence of section fourteen of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight is hereby amended to read as follows:
"His compensation as secretary shall be fixed by the Board at not exceeding two thousand four hundred pesos a year."
SECTION 3. Section twenty-four of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 24. The Bureau of Audits. — The Auditor General shall appoint an auditor for the city who shall rank as chief of a city department and shall receive a salary of three thousand six hundred pesos per annum, payable from the funds of the city. When the provincial auditor of Cebu is designated as city auditor, he shall be given an additional compensation of one thousand pesos per annum, payable from the funds of the city. The city auditor shall receive and audit all accounts of the city, in accordance with the provisions of law relating to Government accounts and accounting."
SECTION 4. The first paragraph of section thirty-eight of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred and twenty-nine, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 38. Regular and acting judges of Municipal Court. — There shall be a municipal court for the City of Cebu, for which a judge shall be appointed, to be known as judge of the municipal court, and who shall receive a salary of four thousand pesos per annum."
SECTION 5. The last sentence of section forty-eight of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The chief of the fire department shall receive a salary of three thousand six hundred pesos per annum." cdt
SECTION 6. The last paragraph of section forty-nine of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The salary of the city treasurer shall be three thousand six hundred pesos per annum. When he is designated as city assessor in charge of the department of assessment his salary shall be four thousand eight hundred pesos."
SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
