Act No. 1464, enacted on March 15, 1906, amends a previous law to authorize the remission of the land tax for the year 1905 specifically in the barrios of El Pardo and Talamban, located in the municipality of Cebu, Province of Cebu. The amendment specifies that the land tax is remitted for these areas, excluding any parts of the municipality not included in these barrios or the designated "burnt area," where taxes must still be paid. The law emphasizes the need for prompt implementation for the public good and takes effect immediately upon passage.
