Amendment to Sec. 6 of Act No. 3166
Act No. 3825, approved on October 8, 1931, amends Section 6 of a previous law concerning the use of rinderpest vaccine to control cattle diseases. The amendment specifies that the appropriated funds of one hundred thousand pesos are to be used for purchasing animals, equipment, supplies, and medicines for vaccine production, as well as for salaries of additional personnel involved in these processes. ACT NO. 3825
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION SIX OF ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SIX, ENTITLED "AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF RINDERPEST VACCINE IN THE CONTROL OF RINDERPEST AND OTHER CONTAGIOUS AND INFECTIOUS CATTLE DISEASES, APPROPRIATES THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES"
SECTION 1. Section six of Act Numbered Thirty-one hundred and sixty-six, entitled "An Act providing for the use of rinderpest vaccine in the control of rinderpest and other contagious and infectious cattle diseases, appropriates the sum of one hundred thousand pesos, and for other purposes," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 6. The funds herein appropriated shall be expended for the purchase of animals, equipment, supplies, and medicines required for the manufacture and distribution of the rinderpest vaccine, serum, and virulent blood; for salaries and wages of additional technical and other personnel connected with the manufacture and application of these products; and for rents and freights: Provided, That any balance of the funds herein appropriated at the end of each fiscal year shall not revert to the Insular Treasury but shall be used for the purposes for which it is appropriated until exhausted." SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
