AMENDMENT TO SEC. 3, RULE II, IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE MAGNA CARTA FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS

1. Sec. 3, Rule II of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 4670, otherwise known as the Magna Carta for Public School Teachers on the subject of Recruitment and Qualifications more specifically on the minimum educational qualifications of general secondary school teachers, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 3. The minimum educational qualification for general secondary school teachers is a B.S.E. degree with a major or with a major and a minor in secondary school subjects or a Bachelor of Arts degree (A.B.) with major, or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) both with at least eighteen (18) professional units in education." THIASE
Of the eighteen (18) units required in professional education, twelve (12) units shall be earned by completing the following professional educational courses:

| Principles & Techniques of Teaching | 3 |
| Principles of Education or Principles of Secondary Education | 3 |
| Measurement and Evaluation or Educational Research & Evaluation | 3 |
The remaining six (6) units may be earned by completing any two (2) of the following professional education courses:

| History of Education | 3 |
| Principle of Secondary Education (if not availed of in required courses) | 3 |
| Philippine Educational System | 3 |
| Educational Sociology | 3 |
| Philosophy of Education | 3 |
| Observation, Participation and Practice Teaching | 3 |
| Any other professional Education subject |
