Amendment to Reorganization Plan No. 2-A Re: Standardized Pay

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2083

AN ACT TO AMEND CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF REORGANIZATION PLAN NUMBERED TWO-A RELATIVE TO STANDARDIZED PAY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

SECTION 1. All provincial salary ranges commencing from Range No. 14 to Range No. 75, in paragraph 1 of Reorganization Plan No. 2-A, are hereby abolished, and all officials and employees assigned in the province shall receive the compensation indicated in their corresponding range.

SECTION 2. Subsection (a) of section three of the same plan is amended to read as follows: cd

"(a) All salaries are expressed as annual rates in pesos, and represent full compensation for full-time employment in a forty-hour work week regardless of where the work is performed. Any food, lodging or other thing or service provided to any employee shall have its value established by the Budget Commission, and such value may be deducted from the salary. When the established work week is other than forty hours compensation may be adjusted proportionately."

SECTION 3. To carry out the provisions of this Act, the sum of ten million eight hundred thousand pesos or so much thereof as may be necessary to cover the adjustment of salaries of employees now receiving the provincial rate is appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
