Amendment to R.A. No. 4267 Re: Conversion of Calolbon Chest Center in San Andres, Catanduanes into Juan M. Alberto Memorial Hospital
Republic Act No. 5873, enacted on June 21, 1969, amends a previous law by converting the Calolbon Chest Center in San Andres, Catanduanes, into a hospital named the Juan M. Alberto Memorial Hospital. This new hospital will operate under the supervision of the Director of Medical Services. All previously authorized funds and resources for the Chest Center will be transferred to support the operations of the Juan M. Alberto Memorial Hospital. The law took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5873
AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FORTY-TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN BY CONVERTING THE CALOLBON CHEST CENTER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN ANDRES, PROVINCE OF CATANDUANES, INTO A HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS JUAN M. ALBERTO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
SECTION 1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Forty-two hundred sixty-seven is amended to read as follows: cd i
"Sec. 1. There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Services a hospital in the Municipality of San Andres, Province of Catanduanes, to be known as the Juan M. Alberto Memorial Hospital."
SECTION 2. All appropriations heretofore authorized for the Calolbon Chest Center, sites, buildings, equipment and all other properties appertaining to the said chest center shall accrue to the Juan M. Alberto Memorial Hospital provided in Section one of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. acd
