Amendment to R.A. No. 4153, as amended

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5830

AN ACT FURTHER AMENDING SECTIONS ONE, TWO AND FOUR OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FORTY-ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE, AS AMENDED

SECTION 1. Subparagraphs (e) and (g), Section one of Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred fifty-three, as amended, are further amended to read as follows:

"(e) Chief of Section, except non-technical section, under the specialized technical divisions in the central office and field division offices, at twelve thousand six hundred pesos per annum — range 58, and chief of sections under the other divisions, in the central office and field division offices, Internal Audit Service, and non-technical sections of specialized technical divisions, at nine thousand six hundred pesos per annum — range 53;

"(g) Sub-section chiefs under the specialized technical divisions in the central office and field divisions offices, at ten thousand eight hundred pesos per annum — range 54; assistant section chiefs of the non-technical divisions, assistant section chief of the non-technical sections of specialized technical divisions, the administrative officers of the three major equipment depots, namely, North Harbor, Cebu, and Mindanao equipment depots, at nine thousand pesos per annum — range 52; the auditing examiners II of the Internal Audit Service, and sub-section chiefs of the non-technical divisions and of the non-technical sections of Specialized technical divisions, including all district and city administrative officers, at seven thousand eight hundred pesos per annum — range 50;" aisa dc

SECTION 2. The same section of the same Act, as amended, is further amended by adding thereto a new subparagraph to be known as subsection (h) to read as follows:

"(h) The salaries of all other employees pain on the monthly basis under the Bureau shall be increased by thirty per cent of their salary as of June thirty, nineteen hundred sixty-nine but in no case should an employee exceed the salary of his immediate superior."

SECTION 3. Section two of the same Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 2. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act for the fiscal year ending June thirty nineteen hundred seventy the Commissioner of Public Highways is hereby authorized to charge the salary differentials against the savings on appropriations for current operating expenditures of the Bureau of Public Highways."

SECTION 4.

"Sec. 4. All Acts, executive orders, administrative orders, proclamations, rules and regulations, or parts thereof, inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or amended accordingly except the Civil Service Act of nineteen hundred fifty-nine."

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
