Amendment to R.A. No. 3478 Re: Appropriation of Funds for Public High Schools
Republic Act No. 4128, approved on June 20, 1964, amends a previous law to extend financial aid for the maintenance of public high schools across various provinces, municipalities, and cities in the Philippines, excluding the City of Manila and Quezon City. The act allocates a budget of ten million pesos from the National Treasury for the fiscal year 1963, with future funding to be incorporated into the General Appropriations Act. This legislation aims to support educational institutions outside the two major cities by providing necessary financial resources for their upkeep. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 5, 1965.
