Republic Act No. 10340, enacted on November 21, 2012, establishes five additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the City of Bogo, Cebu, amending the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980. The Supreme Court is tasked with assigning branch numbers to these new courts, which will be operationalized in coordination with the Department of Justice. Funding for these branches will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act and will be released only upon their actual organization and personnel appointment. The law takes effect 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or in two major newspapers.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10340

AN ACT CREATING FIVE (5) ADDITIONAL BRANCHES OF THE REGIONAL TRIAL COURT TO BE STATIONED AT THE CITY OF BOGO, PROVINCE OF CEBU, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION 14, PARAGRAPH (H) OF BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 129, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "THE JUDICIARY REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1980", AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There is hereby created five (5) additional Regional Trial Court branches in the Seventh Judicial Region with seats at the City of Bogo, Province of Cebu. CAScIH

The Supreme Court shall assign the branch number of the newly-created branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Seventh Judicial Region.

SECTION 2. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, shall immediately include in the Court's program the operationalization of the five (5) additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Province of Cebu to be stationed at the City of Bogo, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The funds necessary for the operation of the Court(s) herein created shall be appropriated and released only upon the actual organization of the Court(s) and the appointment of its personnel.

SECTION 3. Section 14 (h) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, otherwise known as "The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980", as amended, and all other laws, rules and regulations which are inconsistent with this Act are hereby amended, repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or in two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
