Amendment to Act No. 1537, as Amended
Act No. 3923, approved on October 4, 1932, amends previous legislation regarding horse racing in the Philippines. It permits the Philippine Antituberculosis Society to hold horse races with betting on specified Sundays in 1932 and 1933 for charitable purposes. The Act stipulates that profits from these races, after deducting certain expenses, must be allocated exclusively to the Society's funds. Additionally, the Society is exempt from municipal and insular taxes related to these events. This legislation aims to support the Society's fundraising efforts while regulating the conditions under which the races are held.
