Amending the NIRC Re: Income Tax
Republic Act No. 1983, enacted on June 22, 1957, amends Section 56 of the National Internal Revenue Code regarding the imposition of taxes on income from estates and trusts. It specifies that taxes apply to various types of income, including that accumulated for unborn beneficiaries and income from deceased estates during administration. The Act exempts certain employees' trusts related to pension plans, provided they exclusively benefit employees and comply with specific conditions.
