ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 277-A
AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 277, SERIES OF 2010 CREATING AN INDEPENDENT COMMITTEE TO REVIEW, ASSESS AND EVALUATE ALL THE IMPORTANT SMUGGLING AND TAX EVASION CASES HANDLED BY THE BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE AND THE BUREAU OF CUSTOMS
WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 277 dated 29 January 2010, created the Independent Committee to review, assess and evaluate all the important smuggling and tax evasion cases handled by the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Bureau of Customs;
WHEREAS, under Section 31, Chapter 10, Title III, Book III of the Administrative Code of 1987, the President has the continuing authority to reorganize the administrative structure of the Office of the President;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA M. ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order: HTDCAS
SECTION 1. Composition. — The composition of the Committee shall be amended such that it shall be composed of a retired member of the judiciary and two representatives each from the private sector and the media.
SECTION 2. Repealing Clause. — All other executive issuances, orders, rules and regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Executive Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 3. Effectivity. — This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 19th of February, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
