Proclamation No. 466-A, issued on April 13, 2007, amends Proclamation No. 466 from 1989, officially designating the period from April 5 to April 11 each year as "Philippine Veterans Week." This proclamation expands the recognition to include not only war veterans but also veterans of military campaigns. It emphasizes the state's obligation, as outlined in the 1987 Constitution, to provide care and benefits to these veterans. The proclamation aims to promote patriotism and honor the contributions of Filipino veterans, particularly among the youth.
