Amending P.D. No. 487 (s. 1974) Re: Creation of Philippine Centers Abroad

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 784
AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 487 DATED 19 JUNE 1974 RE: THE CREATION OF PHILIPPINE CENTERS ABROAD
I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby amend the first paragraph of Section 5 of Presidential Decree No. 487 dated 19 June 1974, to read as follows: aisa dc
"SEC. 5. All Philippine Government offices or agencies and private firms using the Center shall pay rent to the Board; Provided, that in consideration of their service to the Center, the Philippine Embassy or Consulate and service representatives attached to the Embassy or Consulate shall be exempt from the payment of rent during the Center's first two fiscal years of operation. Provided, further, that Philippine Government offices or agencies where the Philippine Centers earn income from rentals, commissions and other sources shall be free of rental payments chargeable against the net income earned by said Center."
This Decree shall take effect immediately.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 27th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Five.
