Amending P.D. No. 1578 Re: Grant of Emergency Allowance for Certain Personnel of the National Museum

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1719

AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBERED 1578 GRANTING EMERGENCY ALLOWANCE FOR CERTAIN PERSONNEL OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR

WHEREAS, Presidential Decree No. 1578, dated June 11, 1978, provides for the grant of emergency allowance for certain personnel of the National Museum to augment their salaries and to improve their capability and performance; and cd

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Section 1 of Presidential Decree No. 1578, for the purpose of including in the list of personnel specified therein other personnel of the National Museum who should also be granted emergency allowance, and to amend Section 2 of the aforesaid Decree for the purpose of strengthening the funding provision of this measure;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Presidential Decree No. 1578 is hereby amended to include within its coverage the following personnel of the National Museum, in addition to the personnel or positions specified in the aforesaid section who are authorized to receive monthly incentive allowances:

SECTION 2. The sum of fifty-four thousand four hundred pesos a month which shall be taken from any savings of the National Museum for Calendar Year 1980 is hereby authorized to be paid for the incentives granted to the above additional personnel. Thereafter, the necessary amount shall be included in the General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 3. This Decree shall take effect immediately.
