AN ACT TO AMEND PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBERED TEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-NINE (RE: RETIREMENT BENEFITS OF COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF THE BUREAU OF COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY)
SECTION 1. The following rates of monthly base pay is hereby authorized and prescribed for commissioned officers of the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey in each grade as indicated effective January 1, 1976: Provided, That the rates of pay hereunder prescribed shall not be the basis of incentive and additional pays of the commissioned officers of the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey except in longevity pay: Provided, further, That the increase in longevity pay for the year 1976 shall be subject to the availability of funds and the approval of the Minister of National Defense:

SECTION 2. The retirement gratuity or pension for commissioned officers of the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey shall be based on the current monthly base pay authorized and prescribed for officers of the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey.
SECTION 3. The funds necessary for the implementation of this Amendatory Act shall be charged against (may be taken from) the "Coast Survey Officers' Retirement and Separation Benefits Fund" provided in Section 16 of Republic Act No. 5976 to be augmented by savings from programmed allotments of the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey." acd
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
