Amending EO 770 s. 2008 Making the Leagues of Provinces, Cities and Municipalities as Regular Members of NEDA Board-NLUC

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 770-A

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 770, SERIES OF 2008, TO MAKE THE LEAGUES OF PROVINCES, CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES AS REGULAR MEMBERS OF THE NEDA BOARD-NATIONAL LAND USE COMMITTEE

WHEREAS, Executive Order (EO) 770 entitled: "Amending Letter of Instruction 1350 otherwise known as 'Providing the Institutional Framework for National Physical Planning"' reconstituted the National Land Use Committee (NLUC) into a NEDA Board (NB) committee;

WHEREAS, Section 2 of EO 770 lists down the composition of the Committee and states that "The NB-NLUC shall invite the respective Presidents of the Leagues of Provinces, Municipalities and Cities to its meetings";

WHEREAS, the membership of the LGU Leagues in the NB-NLUC is necessary to ensure that local inputs and responses to land use policies that affect local governance are considered by the Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of EO 770 is hereby amended to read as follows: aAcHCT

"SECTION 2. Composition. — The NB-NLUC shall be composed of the following:

Chairperson	:	Secretary of Socio-Economic Planning
Members	:	Secretaries of Environment and Natural
		Resources; Agriculture; Agrarian Reform;
		Trade and Industry; Public Works and
		Highways; Transportation and
		Communications; Tourism; Interior and Local
		Government; Justice; Science and Technology;
		and Energy.
		Chairpersons of the Housing and Urban
		Development Coordinating Council/Housing and
		Land Use Regulatory Board; and the National
		Commission on Indigenous Peoples.
		Presidents of the League of Provinces,
		Municipalities and Cities.
		Two private sector representatives."

SECTION 2. All executive orders and executive issuances or portions thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.

SECTION 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
