Additional Subscription of the Philippines to the Capital Stock of International Development Association
Presidential Decree No. 41, issued on November 7, 1972, authorizes the Philippines to increase its subscription to the capital stock of the International Development Association (IDA) by $196,240. This measure was deemed urgent for the country's national development program and follows a prior credit of $10 million received from the IDA. The decree modifies Section One of Republic Act No. 2687, allowing the President to negotiate this additional subscription. The decree takes immediate effect, underlining its importance for ongoing economic development projects in the Philippines.
