Acceptance of Free Life Insurance Coverage and Land Transportation Allowances from the CISP
Letter of Instructions No. 221, issued on October 15, 1974, authorizes personnel from the Department of Local Government and Community Development to accept free life insurance and transportation allowances from the Cooperative Insurance System of the Philippines, Inc. LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 221

In the interest of implementing the objectives of Presidential Decree No. 175, personnel of the Department of Local Government and Community Development who are rendering services in connection with the operation of the Cooperative Insurance System of the Philippines, Inc. (CISP) are authorized to accept free life insurance coverage and transportation allowances that may be extended to them by the Cooperative Insurance System of the Philippines, Inc., under such rules and regulations as the Secretary may prescribe. For this purpose, such personnel of the Department of Local Government and Community Development extended such coverage and allowances shall not be subject to any civil, criminal or administrative liabilities under the Anti-Graft Act (Republic Act No. 3019), the Civil Service Act and Rules, or under any other law respecting government personnel. Likewise, no official or employee of the Cooperative Insurance System of the Philippines, Inc., by reason thereof shall be subject to civil, criminal or administrative liabilities under the same laws abovecited.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 15th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Four.
