ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 221
ABOLISHING THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CHIEF OF STAFF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 62 dated 12 February 2003 created the Office of the Presidential Chief of Staff;
WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 138 dated 13 January 2006 rationalized the Office of the Presidential Chief of Staff;
WHEREAS, Section 31, Chapter 10, Title II, Book III of Executive Order No. 292, series of 1987, otherwise known as the "Administrative Code of the 1987" gives the President the continuing authority to reorganize the administrative structure of the Office of the President;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law and the Constitution, do hereby order: HCISED
SECTION 1. The Office of the Presidential Chief of Staff, created pursuant to Administrative Order No. 62 dated 12 February 2003, as amended, is hereby abolished. Its properties and resources shall be turned over to the appropriate offices in the Office of the President. 2008laws1stRel
SECTION 2. Administrative Order No. 62, s. of 2003 and Administrative Order No. 138, s. of 2006 are hereby repealed. All orders, rules, regulations and issuances, or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with this Administrative Order are hereby repealed accordingly. SDHTEC
SECTION 3. This Administrative Order shall take effect immediately.
