NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court en banc issued a Resolution dated JANUARY 14, 2014, which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 210036 (Mayor Amer R. Sampiano vs. Commission on Elections and Edna Ongka Benito). — The Court Resolved to DISMISS the petition for failure to sufficiently show that any grave abuse of discretion was committed by the Commission on Elections in rendering the challenged resolutions which, on the contrary, appear to be in accord with the facts and applicable law and jurisprudence.
The Court further Resolved to:
(a) NOTE the Urgent Motion for Special Raffle dated December 5, 2013 filed by counsel for petitioner;
(b) NOTE the Extremely Urgent Reiterative Motion for the Issuance of Injunctive Writ dated December 9, 2013 filed by counsel for petitioner;
(c) NOTE the Second Extremely Urgent Reiterative Motion for the Issuance of Injunctive Writ dated December 27, 2013 filed by counsel for petitioner;
(d) NOTE WITHOUT ACTION, in view of the dismissal of the petition, the (i) Motion for Leave to Intervene and to Admit Petition-in-Intervention dated December 11, 2013; (ii) aforesaid Petition-in-Intervention (for Certiorari and Mandamus with Prayer for Issuance of Temporary Restraining Order and/or Writ of Preliminary Injunction) dated December 11, 2013; and (iii) Most Urgent Motion to Grant the Prayer for the Issuance of the Status Quo Ante Order/Writ of Preliminary Injunction dated January 8, 2014, all filed by counsel for petitioner-intervenor/movant Vice Mayor Quirino R. Sampiano; and
(e) NOTE the Another Extremely Urgent Reiterative Motion for the Issuance of Status Quo Ante Order (In View of the Precipitate/Null and Void Proclamation of the Private Respondent) dated January 6, 2014 filed by counsel for petitioner." Sereno, C.J., on leave. (adv1) DcTAIH
