NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated 22 January 2018 which reads as follows:
"A.C. No. 2854 (Macrina Jabines Salig v. Atty. Lord M. Marapao)
The Court RESOLVES to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendation of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in the attached Resolution 1 dated January 26, 2017. Accordingly, the Court finds respondent Atty. Lord M. Marapao (respondent) GUILTY of violating Rule 16.03 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, and is thus, meted with the penalty of SUSPENSION from the practice of law for a period of one (1) month, effective immediately upon his receipt of this Resolution.
Respondent is DIRECTED to immediately file a Manifestation on the date of his receipt of this Resolution to enable this Court to determine when his suspension shall take effect, copy furnished to all courts and quasi-judicial bodies where he has entered his appearance as counsel.
Let copies of this Resolution be furnished to: (a) the Office of the Bar Confidant to be appended to respondent's personal record as an attorney; (b) the IBP for its information and guidance; and (c) the Office of the Court Administrator for circulation to all courts in the country.
