RE: LETTER OF ASSOCIATE JUSTICE ALFREDO BENJAMIN S. CAGUIOA [RE: REQUEST FOR SUSPENSION OF SUPREME COURT SESSIONS FOR THE BAR MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2022 AND SIMILAR MEASURES FOR OTHER SELECTED COURTS]
NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court en banc issued a Resolution dated AUGUST 30, 2022, which reads as follows:
"A.M. No. 22-08-05-SC (Re: Letter of Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa [re: Request for Suspension of Supreme Court Sessions for the Bar Month of November 2022 and Similar Measures for Other Selected Courts]). — The Court Resolved to:
(a) NOTE the Letter dated August 25, 2022 of Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa, stating that in view of the banc's approval of his Letter dated August 8, 2022, which suggested that considering the significant number of the court staff and employees, as well as the physical resources of the Supreme Court and Collegiate Courts which will be deployed to the different testing sites across the country for the 2022 Bar Examinations, closure of selected courts and the suspension of Court sessions on specific dates be undertaken;
(b) APPROVE the adoption of the following measures for the 2022 Bar Examinations:
b.i. That the Supreme Court, all Collegiate Courts, and all First and Second Level Courts in the National Capital Region, and in all cities where local testing sites are located, be closed on November 9 and 16, 2022;
b.ii. That the Supreme Court suspend all its sessions from November 5 to 22, 2022, which correspond to the deployment dates of the bar personnel in the local testing centers, to enable the Court to direct its main resources, time, and work towards the holding of the 2022 Bar Examinations; and
b.iii. That all officials, staff, and employees of all Courts who will be deployed and will render service during the preparations, actual conduct of the Bar Examinations, and post Bar Examinations activities be considered on Official Time for the duration of said deployment or service, to enable them to focus on their Bar Examinations-related work, unencumbered by other court-related tasks."
