Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated20 June 2016 which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 222189 — (People of the Philippines v. Rogelio Valdez y Macaraeg @ Jack, Jerome Zamora y Roscas @ Mokey and XXX, accused; Jerome Zamora y Roscas @ Mokey, accused-appellant).
The records of this case were elevated to this Court on January 29, 2016, pursuant to the July 2, 2014 Court of Appeals (CA) Resolution, which gave due course to the notice of appeal filed by accused-appellant Jerome Zamora y Roscas @ Mokey.
In compliance with the Court's Resolution, dated March 2, 2016, both the accused-appellant and the Office of the Solicitor General filed their respective manifestations stating that they were no longer filing their supplemental briefs with this Court; and that they were adopting all the allegations, issues and arguments adduced in their respective briefs filed before the CA.
After a perusal of the records of the case, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure of the accused-appellant to sufficiently show reversible error in the challenged decision warranting the exercise of the Court's appellate jurisdiction.
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusion of law in the June 13, 2014 Decision of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR-H.C. No. 06083, finding accused-appellant Jerome Zamora y Roscas @ Mokey guilty beyond reasonable doubt of violation of Section 4 (e) in relation to Section 6 (a) and (e) of RA 9208, otherwise known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, and AFFIRMS said decision in toto.
