Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution datedApril 16, 2018which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 231883 — People of the Philippines vs. Jeffrey Pagador y Flores
After a review of the records, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals committed any reversible error in upholding accused-appellant's conviction. We ADOPT the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the Decision 1 dated November 16, 2016 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR No. 07256, finding accused-appellant Jeffrey Pagador y Flores, GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code. We AFFIRM the Decision with MODIFICATION, as follows: Accused-appellant Jeffrey Pagador y Flores is ORDERED to pay the victim's heirs the amounts of P50,000.00 as temperate damages; and P75,000.00 as exemplary damages, with legal interest of six percent (6%) per annum on all the monetary awards from the date of finality of this Resolution until fully paid. All other aspects of the fallo of the assailed Decision, stand.
