Please take notice that the Court, Third Division, issued a Resolution dated April 13, 2016, which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 218398 (People of the Philippines vs. Boy Egcayugen y Alba and Wilson Montes y Bahado). — After an exhaustive review of the allegations, issues and arguments presented by the parties, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure to sufficiently prove that the Court of Appeals committed a reversible error in its disputed Decision dated January 23, 2014 as to warrant the exercise of the Court's discretionary appellate jurisdiction.
WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, the Court adopts the findings of fact and conclusions of law of the Court of Appeals in its Decision dated January 23, 2014 finding accused-appellants Boy Egcayugen y Alba and Wilson Montes y Bahado GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 and sentencing each of them to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment and to pay a fine of P500,000.00." (Jardeleza, J., no part in view of his participation in the Office of the Solicitor General; Leonen, J., designated additional Member per Raffle dated July 13, 2015.)
