NOTICE

Please take notice that the Court, Third Division, issued a Resolution datedNovember 6, 2017, which reads as follows: HTcADC
"G.R. No. 218810 (People of the Philippines v. Roldan B. Dalisay) — On July 14, 2015, the Court of Appeals elevated to this Court the records of this case pursuant to its Resolution 1 dated September 30, 2014, 2 which gave due course to the Notice of Appeal filed by accused-appellant, Roldan B. Dalisay.
In its Resolution 3 dated August 5, 2015, this Court noted the records of the case forwarded by the Court of Appeals. The parties were then ordered to file their supplemental briefs, should they so desired, within 30 days from notice.
On October 14, 2015, the Office of the Solicitor General filed a Manifestation on behalf of the People of the Philippines, stating that it would no longer file a supplemental brief. 4 A similar Manifestation 5 was made by the Public Attorney's Office on behalf of accused-appellant.
After evaluating the records of this case, this Court resolves to AFFIRM the assailed Court of Appeals Decision as accused-appellant failed to show any reversible error in the challenged Decision warranting the exercise of this court's appellate jurisdiction.
WHEREFORE, the findings of fact and conclusions of law of the Court of Appeals are AFFIRMED. Accused-appellant Roldan B. Dalisay is found guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of illegal sale of dangerous drugs punished under Article II, Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9165. He is sentenced to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment and is fined in the amount of P500,000.00.
