NOTICE

Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated20 January 2020which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 240917 (People of the Philippines v. Edwin Cunanan). — After a judicious study of the case, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals (CA) committed any reversible error in the assailed Decision as to warrant the exercise of the Court's appellate jurisdiction.
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the Decision 1 promulgated on March 1, 2018 of the CA in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 09130. The Decision finding accused-appellant Edwin Cunanan guilty of the crime of Rape, as defined and penalized under Article 266-A, paragraph 1 (a), of the Revised Penal Code and sentencing him to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua, is AFFIRMED with MODIFICATION that the interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum on the civil indemnity and other damages is imposed from the date of finality of this Resolution until fully paid.
