NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution datedApril 2, 2018which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 237704 (James Aaron Castillo Manalili v. GMA Network, Inc./Atty. Felipe Gozon, Maria Leogarda Sanchez-Matias, Arlene U. Carnay, et al.). — The Court resolves to DENY this petition for review on certiorari for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals (CA) committed any reversible error in upholding the validity of petitioner's dismissal. The CA correctly ruled that petitioner's dismissal was based on just causes; his act of submitting false receipts for liquidation amounted to fraud, dishonesty, and violation of their employment contract. Further, petitioner was afforded due process and given the opportunity to defend himself. TAIaHE
WHEREFORE, the petition is DENIED. The CA Decision dated September 13, 2017 and Resolution dated February 15, 2018 partly granting the petitioner's petition for certiorari under Rule 65 of the Rules of Court in CA-G.R. SP No. 135122 are AFFIRMED.
The Court of Appeals is DELETED as party respondent in this case pursuant to Sec. 4, Rule 45, 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure, as amended.
SO ORDERED." Sereno, C.J., on leave; De Castro, J., designated as Acting Chairperson of the First Division per Special Order No. 2540 dated February 28, 2018.
