"G.R. No. 239498 (Gaudencia P. Madridano, represented by Nancy M. Curitana v. Rural Bank of Casiguran [Aurora], Inc.). — The motion for extension of time filed by petitioner Gaudencio P. Madridano, represented by Nancy M. Curitana, is GRANTED.
After review, the Court resolves to DENY the petition for failure to show that the Court of Appeals committed reversible error in dismissing petitioners' appeal. Petitioners failed to provide sufficient basis why their failure to file their appellant's brief on time, despite being given an extended period to do so, should not have resulted in the dismissal of their appeal.
WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Resolutions dated February 23, 2018 and May 21, 2018 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CV No. 109361 are AFFIRMED.
