Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated08 July 2019which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 246421 (Milagros R. Lacanilao v. Honorable Henry John S. Jalbuena, Regional Director, Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region [DOLE-NCR], Ronaldo P. Espinosa, Sheriff, DOLE-NCR, and Recena Baccay)
After a judicious study of the case, the Court resolves to DENY the instant petition 1 and AFFIRM the November 22, 2018 Decision 2 and the April 3, 2019 Resolution 3 of the Court of Appeals (CA) in CA-G.R. SP No. 154721 for failure of petitioner Milagros R. Lacanilao (petitioner) to sufficiently show that the CA committed any reversible error in dismissing her petition for certiorari. 4
As correctly ruled by the CA, the public respondent Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region's issuance of the Notice of Finality 5 was not tainted with grave abuse of discretion, as records show that instead of filing the appeal bond to perfect her appeal, petitioner resorted to a motion to reduce bond 6 which did not toll the reglementary period to file an appeal, 7 thereby making the August 8, 2017 Compliance Order 8 automatically final and executory.
