Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated14 February 2022which reads as follows:
"OCA IPI No. 20-5011-RTJ (Jocelyn R. Jaropillo-Verdad v. Hon. Eduardo S. Casals, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Branch 1). — The Court NOTES the: (1) Complaint-Affidavit 1 dated December 23, 2019 of complainant Jocelyn R. Jaropilla-Verdad, charging respondent Presiding Judge Eduardo S. Casals, Regional Trial Court of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Branch 1 (respondent) with Brazen Defiance of the Supreme Court Administrative Order (A.O.) No. 138-2019 2 dated July 29, 2019, Irregular Conduct of the Pre-trial with Undue Haste and Undue Interest relative to Civic Case No. 7877 entitled, 'Danilo Evangelista Verdad vs. Jocelyn R. Jaropillo-Verdad,' for Declaration of Nullity/Legal Separation/Separation of Properties, Support, Damages and Attorney's Fees; and (2) comment 3 dated March 23, 2020 of respondent.
The Court RESOLVES to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendation of the Judicial Integrity Board in the attached Report and Recommendation 4 dated July 19, 2021. Accordingly, the administrative complaint against respondent (now retired) Hon. Eduardo S. Casals, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Branch 1, is hereby DISMISSED for lack of merit.
