NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court, Third Division, issued a Resolution datedOctober 14, 2019, which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 248121 (International Copra Export Corporation, et al. v. Banco de Oro Unibank, Inc.). — Acting on the petition for review on certiorari1 assailing the Decision 2 and the Resolution, 3 dated November 22, 2018 and July 3, 2019, respectively, of the Court of Appeals, Manila, in CA-G.R. CV No. 109992, the Court resolves to DENY the petition for failure to show any reversible error in the challenged decision and resolution as to warrant the exercise by this Court of its discretionary appellate jurisdiction.
In view of the ruling in Lara's Gifts & Decors, Inc. v. Midtown Industrial Sales, Inc., 4 the Court imposes on petitioners' liability of P833,589,999.41 the legal interest of six percent (6%) per annum from finality of this Resolution, until fully paid. EHaASD
Lastly, the Court deems it just and equitable to modify the Court of Appeals' award of attorney's fees in the amount of P25,000,000.00 and increase the same to five percent (5%) of the total liability due to respondent, or in the amount of P41,679,499.97.
