Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated 22 September 2014which reads as follows:
G.R. No. 213370 — ECE Realty and Development, Inc. v. Heirs of Edwin T. Uy, namely, Sean Christopher, Jon Kevin and minor Selene Elizabeth, represented by their mother, Sonia Uy and on her behalf, Tedwin T. Uy and Samuel T. Uy
After a careful review of the records of the case, the Court finds no reversible error in the assailed Resolutions.
However, the Court finds it necessary to modify the legal interest rate imposed pursuant to jurisprudence and Circular No. 799, series of 2013 of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, which took effect on July 1, 2013.
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of facts and conclusions of law in the assailed Resolutions dated February 24, 2014 and July 1, 2014 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. SP No. 130956, and AFFIRMS said Resolutions with MODIFICATION that the legal interest to be paid is SIX PERCENT (6%) per annum on the amount due computed from the filing of the complaint on December 2, 2003 until fully paid, pursuant to jurisprudence and Circular No. 799, series of 2013 of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
