Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution datedAugust 6, 2018which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 231910 (Suzette M. Aperocho v. People of the Philippines). — After review of the records, the Court resolves to DENY the petition for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals committed any reversible error in upholding the civil liability against petitioner Suzette M. Aperocho. While she was acquitted from the criminal charges for failure of the prosecution to prove that she received the notice of dishonor, she remains civilly liable because the act or omission, the making and issuing of the subject checks, from which her civil liability arises, evidently exists. 1 AcICHD
WHEREFORE, the petition is DENIED. The December 14, 2015 Decision and April 20, 2017 Resolution of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR No. 02253 are hereby AFFIRMED.
The petitioner's compliance with the Resolution dated July 17, 2017, submitting a hard copy of the affidavit of proof of service and three (3) copies of the motion for extension to file petition for review on certiorari and its soft copies in portable document format; and the petitioner's compliance dated June 11, 2018 with the Resolution dated February 14, 2018, submitting the certified true copies of the decisions of the Regional Trial Court and the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, are both NOTED.
